Skytrax have announced their 2005 World Airport Awards this month. The Skytrax Airport of the Year Survey is the world's largest passenger survey of airport standards. Worldwide survey interviews totalled a massive 5,584,365 respondents - a 15 percent increase on the 2004 result. Over 90 different passenger nationalities participated, the highest contingent from Europe and North America, with Asian countries of Korea, China/Hong Kong and Taiwan also very well represented.

For the 5th consecutive year, passengers rated Hong Kong International Airport as the world's Best Airport while Singapore Changi Airport took the Silver Award.
